Police issue public advisory for suspicious person sightings in Kitchener

PUBLIC ADVISORY

Waterloo Regional Police Central Detectives are investigating reports of a suspicious person in the area on Upper Mercer Drive and Fairway Rd N, Kitchener.  On January 1, 2012 at 11:26am police were contacted by a resident reporting seeing someone in their backyard acting in a suspicious manner.

Police are also investigating two reports of a suspicious person in the Zeller Drive area that occurred on November 14, 2011 and December 11, 2011.  These two incidents occurred during the evening hours. In these cases a person was observed on the property looking into the house.

When police responded to the incident in November a black Triumph mountain bike believed to have been used by the suspect was left behind.

Residents are reminded to ensure their homes are secure and to report any suspicious activity immediately to police.

The investigation into these matters are ongoing and police are requesting anyone with information to call Waterloo Regional Police Central Division Detectives at 519-650 7700 ext 4499 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 8477.
