Two females robbed in separate incidents near bus stops

Waterloo Regional Police are currently investigating two incidents in which young females were robbed near bus stops and are urging the public to be vigilant about their surroundings and report suspicious activity.

Synopsis:
On Monday December 12, 2011 at approximately 6pm, a female exited a bus at the terminal on Ainslie St S, Cambridge.

A male came from the rear of the bowling alley and assaulted the victim while grabbing her backpack. The suspect then fled on foot. There were no injuries and nothing was taken.

The suspect is described as male/White, 6' tall, buzz cut, glasses, wearing dark green coat & jeans.

Police continue to investigate this robbery as well as an incident on December 11, 2011.  At approximately 4:15 p.m. a 15 year old female was robbed of a quantity of cash near a bus stop at the intersection of Black Walnut Drive and Pioneer Drive, Kitchener.

An unknown male suspect approached the victim and demanded money from her. The victim complied with the suspect and turned over a small amount of cash. The suspect fled the area in an awaiting vehicle which was parked nearby.

No weapons were seen and the victim was not physically harmed.
