The Citizens' Police Academy is a highly successful program that offers community membersCitizens' Police Academy the opportunity to learn about their local police service and  the legal system.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service presents two programs per year-one in the spring and one in the fall.  Every Thursday evening for 11 weeks, police members and our community partners share their knowledge and experiences with participants in a comfortable classroom environment at the Waterloo Region Emergency Services Training & Research Complex.

Classes are interactive and include popular topics such as crime trends, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, fraud, forensics, emergency response and police training, coupled with engaging discussions by local judges, attorneys and professors.
