Did you know that your community group can request a speaker on a variety of topics? Some of the topics we present on include street proofing, personal safety, drug education, gang education, fraud, senior's topics, career information and other police related matters. Please send a written request approximately 6 weeks in advance of the requested date.
Your letter, fax or e-mail should include:
- Contact information
- Location of the presentation
- The topic you would like covered
- The number of people you expect
- Some information about your group
- If possible, several alternate dates will assist us in accomodating your needs
The Community Resources Office will review your request to determine if we are able to assist you. From there, it is forwarded to our Cambridge, Kitchener or Waterloo detachments or to a specialized branch where an spokesperson is assigned to the request. The assigned officer will then contact you to arrange more specific details.
There may be times when your request can not be accommodated due to staffing shortages, other commitments the officers may have or because it is not a topic that we present on. In these cases, we will let you know that we are unable to accommodate and perhaps point you in another direction.
