What is it?
The Waterloo Regional Police Service will consider destroying, sealing or making inaccessible adult fingerprints and dispositions in accordance with the File Closure of Fingerprints and Dispositions process.  If your application is approved by the Waterloo Regional Police Service it is sent to the RCMP which also has to grant approval.  The RCMP policy is available here.
Records to be destroyed, sealed or made inaccessible are limited to fingerprints and the record of disposition (CPIC) and does NOT include the occurrence report on file with the Waterloo Regional Police Service. The file closure for fingerprints and dispositions may not impact the information included on a record check.
