  • Access to Information Analyst

    GENERAL PURPOSE:
    To  review, analyze and respond to requests for information in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.  Provides advice to members of the Service on access and privacy issues.

  • Accounts Assistant

    GENERAL PURPOSE:
    To process accounts payable and receivable, employee expenses and other financial duties as assigned.

  • AFIS Forensic Server Imaging Specialist

    General Purpose:
    To analyze, compare, evaluate, identify and verify friction ridge detail as a Latent Fingerprint Examiner and store digital evidential images using enhancement techniques.  Processes images digitally using vendor supplied software, Adobe Photoshop and More Hits software to remove background patterns and noise from images.  Assumes the role of site manager of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), LiveScan systems for the Police Regionalized Information Data Entry (PRIDE) police services and the management of digital images on the Terabyte server for the police service.  Produces photographs by sending digital images to a photographic processing laboratory. 

     

  • Alarms and Records Storage Coordinator

    GENERAL PURPOSE:
    To coordinate the alarm management program, including alarm fee billings and the off-site storage process.
     

  • Assistant Audio Visual Technician

    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    To process electronic evidence and assist the Audio Visual Technician/Producer with the maintenance of audio-visual equipment.

  • Assistant Manager - Records and Archives

    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    To assist the Manager, Records & Archives in the supervision of all police service records programs within the Waterloo Regional Police Service, including the Police Records Information & Data Entry (PRIDE) service partners; to assist in the design and implementation and monitoring of records classification systems.  The incumbent assists in the management of the training and development needs of records services staff by designing and implementing projects and delivering programs to improve the performance of the Records Branch. 

  • Audio Visual Technician - Producer

    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    To provide audio-visual and computer graphic print media and computer multi-media  technical support and advice to all branches of the police service in the set up and operation of equipment, and processing of video evidence.

  • Benefits Assistant

    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    To process benefit claims and perform related administrative duties associated with the Employee Benefit Programs. 

  • Building Maintenance

    GENERAL PURPOSE:
    To clean and maintain Waterloo Regional Police Service buildings and facilities.
     

  • Business Analyst

    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    To assist the PRIDE Business Analyst Supervisor in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of systems and project solutions for Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS).  Plans and prioritizes needs; explores available options and recommends solutions to the PRIDE Business Analyst Supervisor and PRIDE IT Director.  Collects data and administration policy and data access rules; researches, analyzes and documents current and future data requirements.

    Designs and facilitates system entry training to new and existing members of WRPS to ensure members are educated in regard to correct data entry processes and discrepancies on the system. To administer quality control systems of WPRS data entered onto Niche RMS.

    The Business Analyst works closely with functional area(s) of WRPS to aid in the support of existing systems while working with the PRIDE Business Analyst Supervisor on the implementation and support of all Niche RMS initiatives and related systems or interfaces within the functional area(s).
