Missing persons Melissa WUBS, also known as Melissa HIEMSTRA, 42 years, and Emily HAGEWOOD, 5 years, were located this evening.  They are both safe and sound. 

Police thank media and the public for their assistance.

EAST AVE, KITCHENER
On Monday May 28th at approximately 3:30pm a lone male was confronted by 4 males and 1 female at the skatepark located at 400 East Ave, Kitchener.

One of the males was in possession of a bb gun and fired several shots at the victim striking him in the hand and back.
The victim did not require medical attention.

The suspects left the area in an older model silver sedan.

FREDERICK ST, KITCHENER
On Wednesday May 23, 2012 the Southern Sudanese Community Association held a rally to raise awareness about ending teen violence following the recent homicide of 19 year old John James.

The rally began in front of 150 Frederick Street, Kitchener at 12 pm. The participants walked to Victoria Park and the rally was completed at 1:40 pm.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service Major Case Detectives investigated an allegation of an attempted abduction that was alleged to have occurred on May 2, 2012 between 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.  It had been reported that a young girl was approached by an adult male while she was playing in Timberlane Park, in the area of Meadow Woods Crescent, Kitchener.
