For Immediate Release: June 30, 2012

Waterloo Region, Ontario– On Saturday, June 30, 2012 at approximately 4:50 am Waterloo Regional Police received a call from citizens reporting that gunshots were heard in the area of Wellington and Duke Street in Kitchener.

Police Patrol units responded to the area and located 3 adult men with gunshot wounds.  They were transported to hospital by EMS.  Their wounds are not life threatening.

MAX BECKER DRIVE, KITCHENER
On Friday, June 29, 2012 at 5:30 a.m. police responded to the area of Max Becker Dr. and Fischer Hallman Rd., Kitchener.

A man and woman reported having been approached by an unknown male and attacked. The 19 year old male was struck in the face while the 19 year old female reported being sexually assaulted.

South Division detectives continue to investigate a robbery in Cambridge and are releasing the attached images to assist in the investigation. 

Synopsis:
On June 26, 2012 at approximately 2:39 PM, a lone male entered the Bank of Montreal on Dundas St. in Cambridge. He brandished a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of money. He fled on foot and was last seen running southbound on Dundas St. towards Main St.

OTTAWA ST S, KITCHENER
On Wednesday June 27, 2012, an adult male and an adult female entered the Wal-Mart store located at 1400 Ottawa St. S., in Kitchener.

While in the store, the female distracted the sales associate while the male selected a quantity of merchandise. The two then left the store with the merchandise and fled in a motor vehicle while being followed by Loss Prevention Officers.

WILSON AVE, KITCHENER
On June 26, 2012 at approximately 3:30 am police were contacted after a resident of an apartment building on Wilson Ave., Kitchener, became concerned about seeing two unknown males enter the underground parking garage.

Police arrived quickly and with the help of good descriptors, arrested the two males inside the garage.

Waterloo Region, Ontario –On Monday June 25, 2012 Waterloo Regional Police charged a 31 year old St. Clements man in connection with a fatal collision on Herrgott Road in the Township of Wellesley.
 
Dale Wideman, the driver of a 2007 Lincoln, is charged with Careless Driving.
 
On May 6, 2012, at approximately 3:50 p.m. two cyclists were southbound on Herrgott Road when one was struck from behind by the Lincoln.

On Saturday February 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM a late model black GMC pickup truck reversed into an unoccupied grey Toyota Corolla in the Sobey's parking lot at 130 Cedar St in Cambridge then drove off. The truck moved the Toyota about 30 cm causing approximately $1500 damage.  View video.

On June 25, 2012 at approximately 5:10 am, police responded to an address on Holborn Drive, in the city of Kitchener in regards to an incident of suspected animal cruelty inside a home.

A 25 year old Kitchener male has been arrested for allegedly beating a puppy and throwing a cat.
