Children's Safety Village Call for Nominations

ANNUAL CHILDREN’S HERO AWARDS; LOOKING FOR YOUNG HEROES

Cambridge, Ontario-- The Waterloo Region Children’s Safety Village is proud to host their Annual Children’s Hero Awards.

Nominations are now being accepted. Children residing in Waterloo Region, who are in grades junior kindergarten through eight, are eligible for an award. Children, who have assisted their classmates, parents or friends and have performed at a level beyond expectation, are eligible. Children should be recognized for heroic behaviour, good citizenship, or an outstanding safety deed, while contributing to a safer community.

Plans are to recognize five to ten children at the Award Ceremony, to be held at the Waterloo Region Children’s Safety Village on Saturday, May 26th, 2012.  All winners will receive a corporate sponsored trophy and a certificate of achievement.   The Hero’s and their families will attend a ceremony and luncheon to celebrate.

Deadline for nominations is Wednesday, April 02, 2012.  If you know of a deserving child that you wish to nominate, please visit the Children's Safety Village website  to print the Nomination Form and fax, mail or email it to the Safety Village.
