Incident # 11-092934    Type : Robbery    
SCHNEIDER AVE, KITCHENER
On April 26, 2011 at approximately 4:45 p.m. a Kitchener man reported being the victim of a robbery in the area of Victoria Street and Park Street, Kitchener.

The victim was approached by several males and some electronics were taken. The male received minor injuries that did not require any medical treatment.

Incident # 11-092645    Type : Industrial Accident    
WESTMOUNT RD W, KITCHENER
On April 26, 2011 just before a 10am, a 49 yr old Kitchener male worker was injured when he fell from the second story of Kitchener business while washing windows.

This male was transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services. The Ministry of Labor is Investigating.

Incident # 11-092639    Type : Fraud    
COLUMBIA ST W, WATERLOO
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Fraud Branch would like to alert the community to an internet fraud scam currently circulating.

In this scam, the recipient receives emails advising that they are the beneficiary of a large inheritance or have won a lottery.

The recipient is requested by the fraudsters to wire money to have the winnings transferred to Canada.

One local family reports having lost thousands of dollars in this scam. Waterloo Regional Police are requesting the public to be cautious of emails they receive from unknown persons or businesses and to not share personal or financial information.
