Waterloo Regional Police Service welcomes the Special Olympics

Waterloo Region, ON– The Waterloo Regional Police Service proudly supports Ontario Special Olympics, and will raise their flag on Monday February 8, 2016, at 12:00 noon at Police Headquarters.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service will be increasing its uniform presence in the town of Ayr, following a series of residential Break and Enters.

On January 21, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a family returned to their home to find it had been entered by an unknown male intruder who was inside the residence wearing a mask and carrying a knife. After a brief confrontation, the intruder dropped the homeowner's belongings and fled on foot.   This is the fourth Break and Enter in the area since December 18, 2015.

Regional Police investigate shooting incident in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On Saturday January 16 at approximately 4:15 a.m., police responded to a shooting incident at the car park located at Fountain Street and the 401, in the city of Cambridge. 

A 26 year old male was shot while seated in his vehicle while a female passenger was unharmed.
