Incident # 12-198871 Type : Theft under 5000
HURON ST, WILMOT
On Friday August 24th, at approximately 12:20 p.m. three males entered the Post Office located at 30 Huron St New Hamburg.
The males distracted the clerk and removed an undisclosed amount of postage stamps on rolls of various denominations. The suspects also stole the display stands they were attached to.
All three males were described as having olive toned skin, approximately 6'1" to 6'3" with athletic builds, black/dark coloured hair and dark coloured clothing.

Incident # 12-198338 Type : Fire
LENA CRES, CAMBRIDGE
On August 23, 2012 at approximately 10:30pm, Cambridge Fire and Waterloo Regional Police responded to a house fire on Lena Crescent in the City of Cambridge.
The fire was largely contained to the basement of the house and caused approximately $150, 000 damage.
No one was hurt and the cause is not considered to be suspicious.
Incident # 12-197848 Type : Robbery
TRILLIUM DR, KITCHENER
On the 23 August 2012, just before noon, a 30 year old Kitchener male parked his motorbike in a parking lot at 801 Trillium Drive in Kitchener. A short time later, the male observed a vehicle pull up beside the motorbike. The driver was seen attempting to take the victim's helmet and gloves.
The victim attempted to intervene and was struck by the car as the driver attempted to flee. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at Grand River Hospital.

Incident # 12-197217 Type : Missing Person
LINNWOOD AVE, CAMBRIDGE
Waterloo Regional Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing 43 year old Cambridge male.
Uthai PHUNTHETHONG was last seen ain the area of Linwood Drive in Cambridge on Monday, August 20, 2012 at approximately 4pm.
Uthai is described as Asian, 5'3, 110 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, black windbreaker pants and dark running shoes. He does not speak any English.

Incident # 12-030371 Type : Offensive Weapons
SECOND AVE, CAMBRIDGE
Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate an incident in Cambridge and are appealing for any information from the community.
Synopsis:
On February 7, 2012 at approximately 11:30am, three unknown masked males entered a residence located on Second Avenue in Cambridge. One of the males brandished a handgun.
All of the suspects then left the residence after taking money and electronic gaming equipment.
No one was injured in the incident and the suspects left in an unknown direction. This residence is believed to have been targeted by the suspects.

Incident # 12-198031 Type : Fire
KING ST N, WATERLOO
Thursday August 23rd, 2012 at approximately 3:13 p.m. emergency services responded to a major fire at 39 and 41 King St N in the city of Waterloo. The building was engulfed in flames.
Residents from the upper residential units were evacuated. The lower units comprised of a restaurant and a vacant former convenience store. Gas and electrical utilities responded to the scene and supply lines were shut off.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. There are no injuries. A damage estimate is yet to be determined.
Incident # 12-197953 Type : Dangerous Condition
FREDERICK ST, KITCHENER
On August 23rd 2012 at approximately 1:41pm police responded to the area of 300 Frederick St. city of Kitchener to investigate a suspicious package reported by a pedestrian.
The Explosive Disposal Unit responded and disrupted the package, revealing it to not be a danger to the public.
Incident # 12-196289 Type : Drugs
MAPLE GROVE RD, CAMBRIDGE
On Thursday, August 23rd, 2012 members of the Strategic and Tactical Services Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Franklin St. S. Kitchener in connection with an investigation into illegal drug activity.
As a result of the search warrant police seized a quantity of cocaine and marihuana.
A 41 year old Kitchener man is charged with Trafficking Cocaine x 2, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana), Breach Recognizance x 4. He was held for a bail hearing.
