Incident # 12-176337 Type : Sudden Death
IDLEWOOD DR, KITCHENER
On July 28, 2012 shortly before 5pm, a man walking his dog discovered what appeared to be human remains in Idlewood Park in Kitchener.
Emergency Services responded and the remains were removed from the scene and taken to Hamilton for a post mortem examination. Police closed a portion of the park while detectives examined the area.
On July 29, 2012, following the completion of the post-mortem, investigators confirmed that the remains were human.
The scene has now been released. At this time, there are no suspicions of foul play or any risk to public safety.
Central Division Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding this discovery and are now focusing on confirming the identity of the body.

Incident # 12-180716 Type : Robbery
SAWMILL RD, WOOLWICH
On August 2nd 2012 at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were called to a business in the 800 block of Sawmill Road in the community of Bloomingdale regarding a robbery.
It was reported that two male suspects brandished weapons and demanded money from the business. The suspects then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Two adults at the business were not injured in the robbery.

As a result of the continuing investigation, police have positively identified the human remains as those of an adult Kitchener resident.
At the request of the deceased person's family, no further details will be released by investigators.
Police have no reason to suspect foul play and have no concerns for public safety. The investigation into this sudden death is being brought to a conclusion.
