Incident # 12-041261 Type : Offensive Weapons
WALNUT STREET, KITCHENER
On February 21, 2012 just after midnight, a traffic stop was conducted by a member of the Waterloo Regional Police K-9 Unit.
As a result of further investigation, a 28 year old Toronto man was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun.
The male has been charged with 7 firearms-related offences and was held for a bail hearing.
Incident # 12-040592 Type : Robbery
DARTMOOR CRESCENT, WATERLOO ON (AREA: WN
On Monday, February 20th, 2012, at 12:30 a.m., a 17 year old male and female were standing in front of a residence on Dartmoor Cres, Kitchener, and were approached by 5 males.
A knife was brandished by one of the suspects and a Blackberry cell phone was taken from the male victim. The male was then punched resulting in a minor facial injury. He went to the hospital on his own where he was treated and released.
The 5 Suspects are described as:
1) Black male, 16 years, 5'7 medium build, wearing: dark flat brim baseball hat with the large silver sticker on the inside of the brim, dark long sleeve jacket / sweater.
2) Black male, 16 years, 5'7 medium build, wearing: dark flat brim baseball hat with the large silver sticker on the inside of the brim, dark long sleeve jacket / sweater.
3) Black male, 18 years, shoulder length shaggy hair, wearing: dark flat brim baseball hat backwards
4) Brown-skinned male, 17-18 years, 5'9, short buzz haircut, wearing: black jacket
5) Brown-skinned male, 17 years, overweight, wearing: white T-shirt
Waterloo Regional Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the suspects.

Incident # 12-039664 Type : Robbery
LANCASTER ST W, KITCHENER
On Thursday February 18, 2012 at approximately 7:41pm, Police responded to the L & L Market on Lancaster St in Kitchener for a report of a robbery.
At approximately 7:28pm, a male suspect entered the store carrying a large wrench and demanded the store clerk put money into a bag. The male fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6ft tall 170 lbs wearing a blue and grey jacket, white hoody, white gloves, blue jeans, black boots and had a black ski mask covering his mouth and nose.
Police were unable to locate the suspect and the investigation is continuing.

Incident # 12-020312 Type : Break and Enter
VICTORIA ST N, KITCHENER
On February 19th, 2012, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 34 year old Kitchener male in connection with numerous counts of Break and Enter for offences committed in Waterloo Region as well as neighbouring communities.
The arrest came as a result of an ongoing, multi-jurisdictional investigation in to a large number of high value commercial break and enters.
Clifford MCNAMARA appeared in court on February 20th and was remanded in to custody.
A number of search warrants were executed and investigators are currently attempting to identify victims.
