Incident # 12-166515 Type : Property Damage
NOTRE DAME DR, WILMOT
On the 17th day of July 2012 at approximately 700am a large farm tractor was pulling two empty hay wagons on Notre Dame in Petersburg.
As the tractor passed through the intersection at Snyders Road and Norte Dame the trailers became detached.
The tractor continued south bound while the trailers veered off to the right shoulder where they struck a hydro pole snapping it in two. The trailers came to rest inches from a house and the gas meter on the side of the house.
Through police investigation it was learned that an inappropriate pin attaching the trailers to the tractor failed.
There were no injuries.
Power is expected to be out for approximately 10-12 hours to approximately 10 homes in Petersburg.
Approximate damage estimate $12,000 -$15,000
A charge was laid against the operator, a 58 year old Wilmot Township female, for improper means of attachment.
Incident # 12-167021 Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries
HESPELER ROAD, CAMBRIDGE ON CANADA (AREA: WS
On July 17, 2012 at approximately 7:36 pm, a 16 year old Cambridge male was cycling southbound on the sidewalk at Hespeler Road and Munch Ave.
As he rode through the cross walk he was struck by a van turning right from Munch onto Hespeler Road. The cyclist was transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital to be checked and was later released.
Charges are pending.
Incident # 12-165391 Type : Robbery
WATER ST S, CAMBRIDGE ON CANADA (AREA: WS
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a reported robbery that occurred on Sunday, July 15, 2012.
At approximately 7:30pm, a Cambridge male was walking on the trail along the Grand River near Water Street South in Cambridge. He was approached by an unknown person and attacked.
The male received serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital and then taken to Hamilton for further treatment.

Incident # 12-167126 Type : Fire
FIRST ST W, WOOLWICH
On Tuesday July 17 2012 at approximately 11:02 pm, Waterloo Regional Police and Woolwich Fire Department responded to a report of a portable restroom on fire at St. Theresa's Catholic School on First St W in the town of Elmira.
Woolwich Fire quickly contained and extinguished the fire. The were no injuries as a result of the incident. The damage to the portable was extensive.

Incident # 12-165989 Type : Break and Enter
WELLINGTON ST N, KITCHENER
On July 16, 2012 a residential break and enter was reported to Waterloo Regional Police Service.
The incident occurred at a home on Wellington St. N. in Kitchener, and was reported to have occurred sometime within the previous two weeks when the residents were on vacation.
Four firearms including a rifle, shotgun, and two handguns were taken, in addition to various ammunition.

Waterloo Regional Police have completed their investigation into the above incident. Police have determined that the injured party and another were known to each other. No criminal charges have been laid.
The injuries were sustained as a result of an accident. There is no concern for public safety.

WELLINGTON ST N, KITCHENER

After further investigation into the guns reported stolen from a Wellington Street home, police have now arrested and charged three Kitchener residents.
Robert Wilson,58 years, has been charged with Trafficking Firearms X4, Careless Storage, Public Mischief- Obstruct Police.
Ryan Wilson, 20 years, has been charged with Trafficking Firearms X4. Both males were held for a bail hearing.
Nancy Wilson, 60 years, was charged with Public Mischief -Obstruct Police and was released on a Promise to Appear.
The trafficking charges relate to allegations that the males were involved in trafficking weapons to street gang members or those associated to street gangs. Robert and Nancy Wilson are further charged with Public Mischief for allegedly making false statements to police relating to the break and enter.
Police have seized approximately 5600 rounds of ammunition including 3000 various handgun rounds and 2600 rifle/shotgun rounds from the Wellington Street residence.
During a search warrant conducted at a Louisa Street residence on July 9, 2012, police seized a loaded 12 gauge shotgun and ammunition. Investigators have linked this firearm to the accused persons.
