Incident # 12-171249    Type : Attempt Suicide    
DONALD ST, KITCHENER
Sunday, July 22nd, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. police and EMS attended a residence on Donald Street in Kitchener in response to a medical emergency.

As a result of the emergency services intervention, a male was transported to hospital for treatment. Several firearms and ammunition were seized from the residence for safety purposes.

FISCHER-HALLMAN RD, KITCHENER ON CANADA (AREA: WC
At approximately 6:30am on July 21, 2012 an unknown male approached an 18 year old female in the area of Fischer-Hallman Road and Cotton Grass Road, Kitchener and requested a cigarette. The male was able to lure the female into a wooded area and attempted to threaten and assault her.

The female was able to flee the area and no injuries were sustained. The male is described as 6'1, athletic build, short hair, blue/gray eyes, with a couple days stubble. He was wearing jeans and a plaid shirt, white with black stripes.

Incident # 12-170251    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
WEIMAR LINE, WELLESLEY
On July 21st, 2012 at approximately 4:00 p.m., emergency services responded to a single vehicle collision involving an off-road vehicle. The collision occurred on private property in Wellesley Township.

The vehicle rolled over pinning the passenger and causing minor injuries to the driver. The vehicle was operated by a 21yr old male from Niagara Falls and the passenger was a 30yr old female from Ingersoll.

The female passenger was airlifted from the scene to London Health Sciences Centre in critical condition. The driver was taken to Stratford General where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in this collision.

Incident # 12-169558    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
KING ST AT ERB ST, WATERLOO ON CANADA (AREA: WN
At 8:59 pm, 20 July 2012 Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to a serious vehicle collision involving a car and a bicycle at the intersection of Erb St and King St in Waterloo.

A 2001 Toyota Matrix, driven by a 28 year old Waterloo man, was turning left from King St to Erb St when it crossed the path of a bicycle travelling north on King St.

The bicycle was being operated by a 36 year old man from Waterloo. The cyclist who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision was transported to Grand River Hospital with suspected head injuries. It was later determined the cyclist received minor injuries as a result of this collision.

The driver of the car has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Turn not in Safety.

The intersection was closed for approximately 2 hours while police investigated.

Incident # 12-168681    Type : Sex Offence    
LAURENTION PARK, KITCHENER ON CANADA (AREA: WC
On July19th, 2012 at approximately 8:15pm, a 17 year old female was sitting on the swings at Laurentian Park in Kitchener.

An unknown male approached her and exposed himself. The female left the swing set walking to a nearby path.

The male followed exposing his genitals a second time and touching the female. The male then fled the area.

The male is described as brown skinned, 5', approximately 17 yrs, brown hair and brown eyes wearing a black tank top and blue jeans. The male had a slight unknown accent.

Incident # 12-167817    Type : Sex Offence    
BINGEMANS CENTRE DR, KITCHENER
On July 18, 2012, Waterloo Regional Police Service Major Case investigators received a complaint that a five year old boy had been sexually assaulted earlier in the day while attending a day camp at Bingeman Park in Kitchener.

As a result of police investigation, a Waterloo male teenager was arrested on July 19th and charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference. The Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits the identity of the accused from being published. |

The accused was acting as a volunteer at the time of the alleged offence. Investigators have learned the accused served as a volunteer at the park during the summers of 2010 and 2011.

The accused was held for bail court on July 20, 2012 and remanded into custody for a further appearance in court on July 23, 2012.
