Incident # 12-155604    Type : Industrial Accident    
CHANDARIA PL, KITCHENER
On July 4, 2012 at approximately 11:10 a.m. an employee of a trucking company sustained a minor work place injury at a distribution center in Kitchener.

The employee was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injures.

The work place accident will be investigated by the Ministry of Labour.

Incident # 12-155404    Type : Break and Enter    
LIGHT DR, CAMBRIDGE
Between July 3rd 2012 and July 4th 2012 from approximately 0300 and 0400hrs, five male youths went to Cambridge homes in the area of Newport Crescent, Light Dr, Cottonwood Crescent, Dellgrove Circle, and McGill Crescent, kicking the front door in an apparent effort to alarm the occupants.

They then fled each scene in a motor vehicle which had been taken without consent.

Residents in the area contacted police who responded and observed the youths driving without headlights. Attempting to flee from police the driver become involved in a motor vehicle collision and all youths were arrested.

All youths face charges of Mischief Under $5000 and Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent and were released to the care of their parents. The driver is additionally charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Incident # 12-156240    Type : Theft under 5000    
MEADOWLANE DR, KITCHENER
Shortly after 4:00 am on July 5, 2012, Police responded to a report of 5 youths entering vehicles in the area of McGarry Drive and Meadowlane Drive in the City of Kitchener.

On arrival, the youths were located and arrested without incident. Several items of property were recovered, including GPS units, vehicle accessories and coin.

Police are asking anyone from the area who is missing property from their vehicle to contact WRPS North Division at 519-650-8500 x3399.

Police further remind the public to remove valuables and lock unattended vehicles. Anyone seeing a crime in progress should call 9-1-1. For suspicious activity, call the general police number at 519 653 7700..

Incident # 12-155873    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
FRANKLIN BV AT DUNDAS ST S, CAMBRIDGE ON CANADA (AREA: WS
On July 4, 2012 at approximately 4:35pm a motor vehicle collision occurred in the intersection of Franklin Blvd and Dundas St S in the City of Cambridge.

A Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 46 year old Brantford women was southbound on Franklin Blvd attempting to turn left onto Dundas St S when it collided with a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a 57 year old Brantford man.

The motorcycle operator was taken to hospital by ambulance with major injuries. No one else was injured.

Dundas St S was shut down for a brief time east of Franklin Blvd and traffic was rerouted while Police investigated.

The driver of the SUV, Cheri BUTTINEAU, was charged with making an unsafe turn.
