Incident # 12-274729    Type : Domestic Dispute    
HAWKINS DR, CAMBRIDGE
On November 22nd 2012, at 3 40 pm police responded to Hawkins Drive area of Cambridge for a family -related manner.
Upon arrival police learned that a 16 year old male was in possession of a weapon.

Patrol officers set up a perimeter and the Emergency Response Unit was activated. After several hours of negotiations the male surrendered and he was taken into custody without incident.

The male is facing charges of uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Incident # 12-275032    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
FISCHER HALLMAN RD, WATERLOO ON CANADA (AREA: WN
On Thursday November 22, 2012 at 11:00 PM a 20 year old Waterloo resident was skateboarding on University Ave West at Fischer Hallman Rd in Waterloo when he failed to stop for the red light.

He was struck by a northbound Volkswagen in the intersection.

The skateboarder was taken to hospital with serious but non- life threatening injuries. The 20 year old female driver also from Waterloo was not injured.

No charges were laid in this incident. Damage to the Volkswagen was significant.

Incident # 12-274837    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
BELMONT AVE W, KITCHENER
On Thursday November 22, 2012 at approximately 6 pm, a cyclist and an SUV were involved in a collision near 564 Belmont Av W Kitchener.

A 39 year old male from Niagara on the Lake was riding his bicycle on Belmont Ave and was struck by a vehicle drivien by 32 year old Guelph male.

The cyclist was taken to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Alcohol and speed are not factors in this collision.

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate and are seeking any witnesses to this collision. Witnesses can contact the Traffic Services Branch at 519-653-7700 Ext: 8856.
