Incident # 12-248760    Type : Fire    
COURTLAND AVE E , KITCHENER
On October 20, 2012, at approximately 4:50pm emergency services were contacted in regards to smoke inside an apartment building on Courtland Ave, in the city of Kitchener.

A 28yr old Kitchener male noticed smoke coming out of an apartment. He gained access to the apartment and carried an elderly woman to safety. The female resident suffered smoke inhalation and was transported to St Mary's Hospital for treatment.

Other residents were evacuated by police and Kitchener Fire Dept.

Total approximate damage to the apartment was $500. The cause of the fire was due to food being left on the stove, when the resident suffered medical distress.

The 28yr old Kitchener male will be recommended for a citation.

Emergency services remind residents to leave buildings promptly when a fire alarm is activated.

Incident # 12-249679    Type : Property Damage    
MYERS ROAD, CAMBRIDGE ON CANADA (AREA: WS
On October 21st 2012 police investigated four seperate incidents involving objects being thrown from a vehicle at other passing vehicles in south Cambridge.

All four incidents occurred at approximately 10:00pm between Franklin Blvd and Dundas St. South to Myers Road and Water Street South. It is believed that scrap metal and rocks were used to cause the damage.

No injuries were sustained. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Incident # 12-249144    Type : Assault    
KING ST W, KITCHENER
On Sunday October 21,2012 at approximately 2:30 am, two males where assaulted while attempting to hail a cab on Marsland Dr, out front of the Flying Dog night club in Waterloo.

As a result of the assault, one of the males was taken to Grand River Hospital with minor facial injuries.

The suspects where described as two White males in their 30's with shaved heads. The third was described as a Black male, 6'6", heavy build.

Incident # 12-248871    Type : Offensive Weapons    
KING ST W, KITCHENER
On October 20, 2012 just before 8pm, Police attended Grand River Hospital regarding a report of a 25 year old male who had suffered a stab wound during an incident at a Kitchener residence.

The victim and the suspect in this incident are known to one and other and the altercation does not pose a threat to public safety. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Incident # 12-247638    Type : Drugs    
ERB ST W/BLUEVALE ST N, WATERLOO ON CANADA (AREA: WN
On Friday Oct 19, 2012 at 1015 am, Waterloo Regional Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Erb St W near the intersection of Bluevale St N in the city of Waterloo.

The 32 year old male driver form Kitchener was arrested for driving under suspension, breaching probation and other court orders and obstructing police.

The 31 year old passenger from Kitchener was also arrested for breaching court orders and obstructing police. A 25 year old female passenger from Wilmot Twp was also arrested for obstructing the police officer.

A quantity of heroin and methamphetamine was seized during a search of the vehicle which resulted in the arrest of a fourth passenger, a 29 year old Kitchener female.

A prohibited weapon (stun gun) was also located in the car.

All four individuals have been held for a bail hearing and are charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purposes of Trafficking and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

Incident # 12-247270    Type : Robbery    
NORTHLAKE DR, WATERLOO
On October 18, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. a Waterloo youth was robbed of his personal belongings while at the Optimist Park on Northlake Drive.

A friend of the youth attempted to intervene at which time he was assaulted by one of the three suspects. He received minor injuries. The three suspects are described as white males of average height and build.

Incident # 12-249913    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
FISCHER HALLMAN RD N, WATERLOO ON CANADA (AREA: WN
On Monday October 22, 2012 at approximately 9:15am emergency services were called to a collision on Fischer Hallman Rd N just south of Keats Way in the City of Waterloo.

A red Ford truck being driven by a 58 year old Kitchener man was traveling northbound on Fischer Hallman Road when the driver lost control, went off the road and struck a pole. The lone occupant was taken to hospital with major injuries.

Waterloo Regional Police responded and completed the on-scene investigation. The cause of the collision is still to be determined.

Incident # 12-247270    Type : Robbery    
NORTHLAKE DR, WATERLOO

On October 19, 2012 two of the three males involved in the robbery that had occurred on October 18, 2012 in the Optomist park located on Northlake Dr., in the city of Waterloo have been apprehended.

Two local youths have been arrested and charged with Robbery, while one of the two has additional charges including Assault and Breach Probation.
