Incident # 12-245177    Type : Theft under 5000    
PURPLE SAGE CRES, KITCHENER
Waterloo Regional Police detectives are currently investigating thefts from two Kitchener residences. Both incidents occurred on October 13, 2012 while the homes were being shown to the public during a real estate open house.

Cash, jewelry and other valuables were taken. The homes are located on Grand River Boulevard and Purple Sage Crescent.

Police are appealing to the public for any information and urge potential sellers to work in conjunction with their listing agent to ensure a security plan has been established. As well, be sure to report any suspicious activity to police at once.

Incident # 12-250532    Type : Prowler    
BLAIR RD, CAMBRIDGE
On October 22,, 2012, a 52 year old Cambridge male was arrested in the Grand Avenue North area of Cambridge.

The male was observed entering a back yard of a residence in the Blair Road area of Cambridge on three seperate occasions during a short period of time prior to 10 p.m.

Investigation revealed that two females reside at this location.

The male has been charged with the criminal offence of Trespass by Night. The male is also charged with Possession of a Break and Enter tool and 2 counts of Breach Probation. He is being held for a bail hearing in Kitchener Court on October 23rd.

The investigation is continuing.

Incident # 12-250196    Type : Dangerous Condition    
VICTORIA AVE, CAMBRIDGE
On October 22, 2012 at 2:57 p.m. emergency services were contacted as there was a report of a gas leak at a residence on Victoria Avenue in Cambridge.
Cambridge fire department and Waterloo Regional police arrived on scene and evacuated the residence and neighboring houses. A section of Victoria Avenue was closed off in front of the house as a precaution.
Union gas stopped the leak shortly after without incident. There was no property damage or injury to any person in this incident. Renovations were currently being done to the outside of the property and are believed to be the accidental cause to the gas leak.

Incident # 12-250663    Type : Fire    
UNIVERSITY AVE W, KITCHENER
On October 23, 2012 at 4:16 a.m. Police and Kitchener Fire Department attended Resurrection Highschool, 455 University Avenue West, Kitchener for a vehicle fire.

The fire is being considered suspicious at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police North Division at 519-653-7700 x 6399 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Incident # 12-250651    Type : Injured/Sick Person    
MARSHALL ST,
At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday October 23, 2012, police were called to an apartment residence on Marshall Street in Waterloo for a reported disturbance.

Upon arrival, Police and EMS found an adult female and adult male with stab wounds.

An adult male, known to the victims, had fled the scene and entered another Marshall Street apartment where a male occupant was physically assaulted.

The male suspect fled once again and was arrested by police nearby.

The female victim and first male victim were treated in hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The second male received minor injuries not involving a weapon.

Charges are pending and investigators are not anticipating any further arrests.
