Incident # 12-252512 Type : Suspicious Person
GRACEFIELD CRES, KITCHENER
Thursday, October 25, 2012 at approximately 11:55 a.m., an unidentified male approached a 12 year old boy who was walking home from school in the area of Kingwood Dr and Gracefield Ave. in the city of Kitchener.
The male chased the teen to his residence, at which point the boy entered his apartment building complex. The boy did not sustain any injuries as a result to the incident.
The male was described as a White, bald, approximately 40 years of age, possibly 6'3, 200 lbs, wearing a black shirt, grey dress pants and black shoes. The male was clean shaven, but had a black moustache.
Police searched the area for the male with negative results. Police are encouraging anyone who observes suspicious activity to notify Waterloo Regional Police Service at 519 653-7700.
Incident # 12-194288 Type : Break and Enter
DANIELLS CRES, WILMOT
On Sunday August 19th 2012 at approximately 7:30am a residence on Daniells Crescent in New Hamburg was broken into.
The owner arrived home interrupting the incident. The suspect fled in a red Ford pickup truck along with a female accomplice after taking money and jewellry.
Some of the jewelry and other items were thrown onto the roadways between New Hamburg and Kitchener. Police are requesting anyone who finds any items on the roadway to call.
The suspects were stopped by the OPP in the town of Courtland around noon on the same day. Both fled on foot and a foot chase ensued.
Ashley BAYHAM, 25, of Brantford was arrested and has been charged by Waterloo Regional Police with Break and Enter, Theft Under and Possession of Stolen Property. She was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of October 4, 2012
The male suspect remains outstanding.
Police are still investigating other possible break ins in Wilmot Township, Norfolk County, Oxford County and Brant County.

Incident # 12-256903 Type : Attempt Suicide
LAUREL ST, CAMBRIDGE
On October 30, 2012 at 9:55 P.M. Waterloo Regional police received a 911 call from a distraught male threatening to inflict harm on himself.
Police attended a Laurel St address and located a lone male in the residence in possession of two large knives. The male threatened police and himself with the weapons and barricaded himself in the residence refusing to leave.
Waterloo Regional Police Emergency Response officers attended the incident location and negotiated the male out of the residence.
The male was transported to Cambridge Memorial for assessment and held for a showcause hearing for the charges of uttering threats x2 and possess weapons dangerous.
Incident # 12-256796 Type : Suspicious Vehicle
WOODSIDE AVENUE, CAMBRIDGE ON CANADA (AREA: WS
On October 30, 2012 at approximately 6:50 P.M. a ten year old Cambridge youth was walking on Woodside Avenue in the City of Cambridge when he was approached by a male in a Silver/Grey van.
The male driver exited the vehicle and asked the youth if he wanted to see a cat in the van. The youth fled the area on foot without further incident.
The driver was described as a male approximately 6' tall, weighing 160lbs, wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing.
The vehicle driven by the suspect was described as a silver/grey boxed style cargo van with double doors on the back. The van had distinguishing features consisting of rust over the back passenger wheel and newer rims on the front tires.

Incident # 12-256510 Type : Routine Detail
BLENHEIM RD, CAMBRIDGE
On October 30, 2012, Waterloo Regional Police Service was called to a Cambridge cemetery as unregistered bones were located while digging out a burial site. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the bones were non-human.
Incident # 12-256478 Type : Suspicious Vehicle
CONCESSION RD, CAMBRIDGE
On October 30, 2012 at approximately 8:30am, two young children were walking in the area of Eagle Street North and Concession Road.
A unknown male driver approached and offered them a ride to school due to the inclement weather. The children accepted the ride and were driven to their school.
The children were not harmed during the incident.
Police would like to speak with the driver and are asking him, or anyone who has knowledge of who he is, to contact police. The driver is described as Asian, driving a grey or silver vehicle.

Upon further investigation, police have determined that the victim had not provided an accurate account of the events. The boy has been counselled about filing false reports to police and the negative impact incorrect information can have on the community.

On August 21, 2012 Jon DAVY, 35 years of Brantford, was arrested in Brantford and subsequently charged with 6 break and enters in the Perth County and Wilmot County area.
Waterloo Regional Police are looking for the public's assistance in identifying some outstanding property believed to be stolen.
