Incident # 11-221499    Type : Assault    
KINGSWAY DRIVE, KITCHENER
On September 24th, 2011 at approximately 3:45 p.m. a fight broke out in the parking lot between two males on the Kingsway Drive side of Fairview Park Mall.

A twenty-four year old male suffered stab wounds and was treated at Hospital.

The suspect is described as a male Black, 5' 5" - 5' 7", 150-160lbs, 17-19 years of age.

Incident # 11-210200    Type : Robbery    
WILSON AVE, KITCHENER
On Sunday, September 11, 2011 at approximately 4:35 p.m. a 17 year old male was robbed while waiting for a friend on Wilson Avenue near Franklin Avenue, Kitchener.

The suspects are described as follows:

1. Black male, 16-18 years old, 6'4", medium build, shaved black hair, wearing a dark blue shirt and black shorts.
2. Black male, 16-18 years old, 5'9", medium build, shaved black hair, with piercings in both ears and in one eyebrow, wearing a grey shirt rolled up
3. Mixed race male, 16-18 years old, 5'9", medium build, shaved black hair, wearing a red shirt with sleeves rolled up, blue jeans
4. Black male, 16-18 years old, 5'10", medium build, with afro style black hair, wearing a dress shirt and square sunglasses
5. White female, 5'6", thin, with longer blonde hair, wearing dark jeans and a red sleeveless shirt

A cell phone and clothing were taken as a result and there were no injuries.

Incident # 11-205588    Type : Robbery    
DALEWOOD DR, KITCHENER
On September 6, 2011 at approximately 2:40pm three male teens were victims of a robbery in the area of Weber St. E at the Highway 7/8 overpass.

The three suspects approached the teens and told them to empty their pockets. Neither of the teens received any injuries.

The suspects are described as three Black males; one of them was 5'10, 140lbs, light facial growth wearing a yellow baseball cap and a brown plaid t-shirt.

Incident # 11-218927    Type : Robbery    
KING WILLIAM CRT, CAMBRIDGE
On Wednesday September 21, 2011 at approximately 7:45 p.m., 5-7 male suspects in their teens to early 20's followed 2 young males off a bus in Cambridge.

They spoke briefly and the suspects brandished a weapon and demanded cash and valuables. The suspects took the items and fled the scene on foot.

A short time later the suspects got on a bus in the same vicinity and again got off the bus behind 2 different youths. Again the suspects spoke to the victims and then brandished the weapon.The suspects again made off with more cash and valuables.

Police were called and searched the area.

Two suspects were arrested on a city bus a short time later without incident. The weapon and some of the stolen property was recovered. No injuries were reported and several suspects are still outstanding.

Two 19 year old males have been charged with Robbery with a Weapon and were held for show cause.

Incident # 11-226351    Type : Offensive Weapons    
HAZELGLEN DR, KITCHENER
At approximately 1:30am on Friday September 30, 2011, an altercation occurred in the area of Hazelglen Drive and Dalegrove Drive in the city of Kitchener.

One male victim appears to have been slashed with a knife and suffered a serious, but, non-life threatening injuries to the side of his head.

Incident # 11-226056    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
VICTORIA STREET SOUTH, KITCHENER ON (AREA: WC
On September 29, 2011 at approximately 5:30pm a bus was travelling southbound on Victoria Street South just crossing Charles Street West in the City of Kitchener.

At the same time a 47 year old Kitchener male was on a bicycle travelling southbound on Victoria Street South on the sidewalk.

The cyclist entered the curb lane at Charles Street and was passing the bus. The cyclist struck the curb and the bus causing him to lose control and crash his bicycle.

The cyclist was transported to Grand River hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries.

The cyclist was subsequently charged with Careless Driving. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Branch 519-653-7700 ext 8856.

Incident # 11-225973    Type : Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries    
FAIRWAY ROAD, KITCHENER ON (AREA: WC
On Thursday September 29, 2011 at approximately 3:40pm a 63 year old male on a personal mobility device was struck by a full size van.

The male was driving his power wheelchair on the sidewalk northbound on the west side of Fairway Road approaching King St East, when a truck exiting a private driveway struck the wheelchair.

The collision caused the male in the wheelchair to tip over onto the roadway.

The male was transported to Grand River Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The 42 year old male driver of the van was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. Any witnesses are asked to please contact the Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Services Branch (519) 650-8500 ext. 8856.

Incident # 11-223916    Type : Drugs    
PINEBUSH RD, CAMBRIDGE
On September 27, 2011 members of the Strategic and Tactical Services Drug Branch conducted an investigation into the sale of Illegal substances.

A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed at a Cambridge residence resulting in the seizure of 3000 Oxycodone and Percocet pills, 191 Cannabis marihuana plants, 1570 grams of dried cannabis marihuana, $62000 in Canadian currency, and approximately $50000 in suspected steroids.

A total street value of $250,000 of currency and drugs were seized.

Three Cambridge residents were arrested and charged with drug-related offences.

On September 25, 2011, police charged a 15 year old Kitchnener male with Robbery and Failing to comply with a Recognizance. He was held for a show cause hearing.

On September 7, 2011, Police arrested a 16 year old Kitchener male. He was charged with two counts of Robbery, Obstruct Police and Breach of Recognizance and held for a show cause hearing.

On September 28, 2011, a 17 year old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. He was held for showcause.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, 2 additional persons have been identified. Two Kitchener youths have been charged in relation to the robberies and were held for an appearance in show cause court.
