Waterloo Region, ON – Waterloo Regional Police Homicide Detectives have arrested a second male in connection with the shooting death of Adam Tyler Jones on September 6, 2012.
Kadeem Anthony Gabriel, 21 years, of Kitchener, was arrested in Halifax, N.S. for a Breach of Probation offence. He was returned to Waterloo Region overnight by Waterloo Regional Police Homicide detectives.
Gabriel has been charged with Murder-First Degree and is scheduled to appear today in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kitchener.
The first arrest in this investigation occurred on September 16, 2012 when detectives apprehended Kitchener resident Jerome Dominque Phillips, 20 years. He was charged with Accessory After the Fact and remains in custody.
The investigation into the death of Adam Tyler Jones, 25 years, began on September 6, 2012 after emergency services responded to a parking lot at 545 Belmont Avenue West in Kitchener and found the victim without vital signs. A post mortem examination confirmed that Adam Tyler Jones died as a result of a single gunshot wound.
