The Waterloo Regional Police Service will proudly wave the rainbow flag in celebration of Pride this weekend. 

Pride is the positive stance against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual and queer (LGTBQ) people and helps to publicly promote their diversity and equal rights. 

 

Police will recognize the LGTBQ community at two separate events.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating following a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred this morning on Arthur Street, south of Sawmill Road in Woolwich Township.

On Monday, June 27, 2016, at approximately 11 a.m., a 74 year old female was travelling southbound in a Lexus SUV when her vehicle, for unknown reasons, crossed the centre line.  The vehicle clipped the mirror of a northbound Hyundai SUV before impacting head on with a Delivery Truck.

Regional Police investigate homicide in Kitchener - Update

Waterloo Region, ON– On May 27, 2016, at 9:30 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of gun shots on Greendale Crescent, in Kitchener.

Upon arrival, police located 33 year old Brandon Makins (previously released as Makin) of Kitchener, deceased.
