Waterloo Region, Ontario –  March is Fraud Prevention month and members of the Waterloo Regional Police Fraud Branch in partnership with Waterloo Region Crime Stoppers invite the community to attend a free document shredding event.

On Saturday March 28, 2015, the public is invited to bring their personal documents to the parking lot at the Cambridge Centre, 355 Hespeler Road between 9am and 1pm.

Waterloo Region, Ontario –  On Friday March 20, 2015, shortly after 4pm , Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of 10 Burn Place  in Kitchener to investigate a report of human remains.

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation and are looking into the possibility of a link to the disappearance of  Kate Lynn Reid.

A post mortem examination has been scheduled in Hamilton for early next week to confirm the identity of the deceased.

Waterloo Region, Ontario –  As a result of the continuing probe  into the circumstances of missing female Kate Lynn Reid, detectives are now investigating her disappearance as a homicide.

Hugh Rayburn McColl, 61, from Kitchener has been charged with second degree murder. He remains in custody pending a court appearance in Kitchener tomorrow.
