Waterloo Region, Ontario – London Police Service investigators have charged a seventeen year member of the Waterloo Regional Police Service in connection with an investigation into an off-duty matter. The allegations came to the attention of Waterloo Regional Police Service in late 2016. The member, a patrol officer assigned to North Division, has been charged with 6 counts of Assault, 1 count of Assault with a Weapon and 1 count of Sexual Assault. The alleged incidents occurred between May 2013 and March 2015.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Services Division and Major Crime Unit are releasing a composite sketch of a person believed to be connected to a fatal hit and run that occurred November 26, 2016 at 6 p.m. on Cedar Street in Cambridge. Joseph Robert Paul Lalonde, 49, (known as Paul Lalonde) from Cambridge, was walking south bound across Cedar Street when he was struck by a full-sized, white Ford pick-up truck.

This weekend, the Waterloo Regional Police Service will participate in the launch of the local Red Ribbon Project, a campaign which distributes thousands of red ribbons across Waterloo Region as a tribute to the victims of impairment-related crashes and as a reminder to plan a safe way home.
