Programmer/Analyst (2 permanent positions)
Your Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field plus your 5-7 years programming experience with complex databases has equipped you for this challenging position.
You will be responsible for analyzing existing software and data resources; developing, designing, modifying, testing and writing instructions for installation of complex program logic; accessing multiple large Databases, maintaining data analysis applications and the interfaces between different systems (both internal and external systems) and supporting regular production of analytical reports and business intelligence tools. Training users on new and modified systems will also be required.
You must have Knowledge of systems analysis and design; database design and development environments such as Visual Studio 2005/2008, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, ASP, C#, SQL Server 2005/2008, XML/HTML. Advanced application and system development knowledge is required.
In addition, you must have a strong administrative, communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide technical expertise to other members of the IT Department. You should be a good team player, willing to learn new technologies and methodologies. You should be familiar wth coding standards.
Your highly developed problem solving skills will be required to analyze, evaluate, implement, trouble shoot, modify and program Records Management System/Computer Aided Dispatch computer systems and network applications; and to extract and convert data from multiple sources consistently in accordance with mandated guidelines.

Applicants must be able to meet police security clearance and testing requirements, and hold a valid Class “G” Driver’s License with no more than six demerit points.
