Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate an incident that occurred June 30, 2012 around 4:50am in which three males were shot while walking on Wellington Street near King Street in Kitchener.
As a result of the continuing investigation, police have become aware of a black Ford F150 pickup truck seen in the area at the time of the shooting and would like to speak with the owner and/or driver. Additionally, police have obtained video tape recorded on June 30 near the location of the shooting of a male believed to be Mark Robert LUCAS. Investigators would like to speak with this male in connection with the incident.
Mark Robert LUCAS is currently wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for firearm offences. He is described as White, 26 years old, 6’1”, 200 pounds, long dark hair may have a full beard and is known to wear long dark trench coat. Lucas has been known to travel on bicycles and or skateboard.
LUCAS is charged with Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition; Unauthorized Possession of Firearm; and Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm. Police urge the public not to approach LUCAS as he may be armed and is considered dangerous. Anyone seeing him should call police immediately.
