Training Branch

The WRPS Training Branch is responsible for the ongoing training of all Service members.

Civilians, auxiliary officers, special constables, recruits and veteran officers have regular contact with the Training Branch throughout their careers.

This branch also trains members of other police agencies, including special constables at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University.

Members of this branch are tasked with facilitating and delivering mandated training as well as enhanced and optional training opportunities to the entire service.

This branch works cooperatively with the Ontario Police College, Canadian Police College, public educational institutions and other police services to develop and deliver needed training.  img_1053-250
