Waterloo Regional Police Investigate Third Homicide of 2018

For Immediate Release:  July 9, 2018

Waterloo Region, Ontario –  The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit is investigating the Region’s third homicide of 2018.

Shaun Yorke, 45, of Kitchener, was found deceased inside his residence at 150 Elm Ridge Drive at approximately 1:20 a.m. on July 8, 2018.

The cause of death has been determined to be a result of a gunshot injury.

At this time, it is believed that the incident was targeted.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit, General Detectives and Forensic Identification officers continue to investigate this incident. There will be an increased police presence in the area for the next several days.

Media representatives will be at 150 Elm Ridge Drive at 11 a.m. today, to provide an update on the investigation.
