Investigation Underway Into Cambridge Fire

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a fire broke out at a residence on Queen Street East in Cambridge around 1:30 a.m.

One person, who was located inside the residence, has been pronounced deceased.

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate, along with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office, Cambridge Fire Department and the Coroner’s Office.

Queen Street East, between Hungerford Road and Panabaker Street, is currently closed as the investigation continues.
