Waterloo Regional Police Continuing to Investigate a Shooting in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a shooting incident that occurred in Waterloo on April 19, 2019.

Police responded to a plaza in the area of King Street North and University Avenue East at approximately 2:05 a.m. after receiving reports of multiple gunshots fired.

Upon arrival, police located a 26-year-old male from the Greater Toronto area, who had sustained an injury. He was taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Police believe this was a targeted incident, however, are reminding residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity or suspicious individuals to police.
