Kitchener Man Charged with 23 Offences in Connection to String of Commercial Break and Enters

Waterloo Region, Ontario –  Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener man in connection to an ongoing investigation into commercial break and enters in Kitchener.

Officers with the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Break, Enter and Auto Theft Unit began investigating in February, 2018, after receiving several reports of break-ins to local businesses, including restaurants and nail and hair salons. In most cases, the doors to the businesses were smashed to gain access.

On April 23, 2018, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 32-year-old Kitchener man. He has been charged with the following offences:

  • Eleven counts of Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
  • Five counts of Break and Enter with Intent
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Two counts of Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
  • Trafficking in Stolen Property
  • Uttering a Forged Document
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Breach of Probation
