On Saturday, June 16, 2018, Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a collision between a cyclist and two motor vehicles on Queens Boulevard, at Elm Ridge Drive in Kitchener. The collision occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. The cyclist was northbound on Elm Ridge Drive and was crossing Queens Boulevard against a red traffic signal. The seven-year-old cyclist was struck by two vehicles that were heading west on Queens Boulevard. The cyclist was transported to hospital in stable condition. The drivers of the vehicles were not injured. Police would like to remind cyclists to wear their helmets, walk their bicycles through crosswalks, and to obey the rules of the road.
