On May 5, 2020, Waterloo Regional Police received a report of a theft from a residence in Cambridge. Investigation revealed personal property, along with two Waterloo Regional Police Service badges were stolen. Police are continuing to investigate. If you have concerns about someone using a police badge improperly, you should ask for further identification or contact police dispatch at 911 to confirm the identity and presence of an officer at your location. On Friday, May 8, 2020, Waterloo Regional Police recovered two police badges that were stolen from a Cambridge residence. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available. Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.
