Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a robbery that occurred on Kingsway Drive behind the Fairview Park Mall on November 1, 2020, at approximately 2:50 p.m. Police believe the occupants of a blue Honda Civic are involved and are appealing to any witnesses who were in the area. The victim was attempting to cross at the pedestrian crosswalk with the right of way when the blue civic drove through the pedestrian crossing while the lights were flashing. The Fairview Park Mall was extremely busy at the time and police believe there are witnesses to this event who have not come forward. On November 1, 2020, at approximately 3 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Kingsway Drive and Cedarwoods Crescent in Kitchener. A pedestrian was crossing Kingsway Drive when a vehicle drove past them aggressively. A verbal argument ensued between the victim and the driver and passenger of the vehicle. The driver and passenger got out of their vehicle and brandished a knife, and threatened to harm the pedestrian. The suspects then took the victim's groceries before driving away. The first suspect has been described as a white male, six-feet, four-inches tall with a large build and several tattoos on his face. The male was last seen wearing a t-shirt and faded jeans. The second suspect has been described as a Black male and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black hoody and black pants. The suspects' vehicle was described as a small blue car, possibly a Hyundai or Honda, with a new, blue Ontario licence plate.
