Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an assault that occurred on July 19, 2019, at approximately midnight, in the area of Weber Street North and Bridgeport Road in Waterloo. A 64-year-old male was attacked by an unknown male in the parking lot of a plaza. The victim was then able to transport himself to a hospital. As a result of the incident, the victim received serious injuries. The incident was later reported to police. The suspect male has been described as white, approximately 5’6” – 5’7” tall with a thin build, scruffy facial hair and messy blonde hair. The male was seen wearing a grey zip-up hooded sweatshirt, with a grey t-shirt underneath, and jeans.
