Deputy Crowell

Deputy Chief Mark Crowell has been a member of the Waterloo Regional Police Service since 2001. Most recently, he served as an Inspector and Executive Officer to the Chief of Police. Over his career, he served in a number of different areas, including Frontline Patrol, Domestic Violence, Communications, Major Case Unit, and Records. He has co-led several continuous improvement projects, including the Dictation/Officer Entry Project, the Civilian Staffing Review, and the Staffing and Workload Demand Project. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Canadian Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Master of Arts degree in Sociology and  Ph.D. in Sociology from the Department of Sociology and Legal Studies at the University of Waterloo.
