New Career Opportunities and Applications Platform

The Waterloo Regional Police Service has transition to a new career opportunities and applications platform. As a result, all new and existing users applying for jobs at WRPS will be required to create a new user profile in the new system.

Exciting new features include job alerts, personalized notifications, and streamlined profile application storage.

For applications received through the old platform before April 7, 2024, you do not have to take any action. We received your resume and it will be processed by our Talent Acquisition Team. We will contact the candidates that are selected to move forward in the recruitment process.

The old platform (E-Recruiting) will be decommissioned on April 30, 2024. If you would like to keep a copy of your data, be sure to export it before this date.

 How to Export a Resume from the Old Platform and Import into the New Platform

Candidates will need to create a new profile in new platform (HXM). The instructions below will assist with exporting information from the old platform and importing into the new one. This will reduce some of the manual effort that would otherwise be required to create your profile in the new platform. Please be sure to review the accuracy of the information imported, and ensure your profile is complete before applying to any opportunities.

 

Step 1: Login to the old platform (E-Recruiting).

Step 2: Click "Application History”. 

 

 

Step 3: Click “View” for the application you wish to save/export. 

Step 4: Once your application is open, “Print to PDF” or “Save as PDF”. How to do this is dependent on browser and device; however, typically you can “right-click” and then select “Print”, or open the menu typically located top-right in your browser and select the “Print” option. Alternatively, you can try the shortcut “CTRL+P”. Once the “Print” dialogue box is open, select the available “Save as PDF” or “Print to PDF” option (see image below).

 

 

Step 5: Once in the new platform (HXM), simply upload the PDF of your E-Recruiting application in the “Resume” attachment field. Once uploaded, the new platform will automatically “parse” out information in your application to the respective fields in your candidate profile. Please be sure to review the accuracy of the information imported, and ensure your profile is complete before applying to any opportunities.
