Police Arrest Driver in Pedestrian Hit and Run Collision in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police arrested the driver after investigating a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian in Cambridge.

On April 26, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision at the intersection of Dunbar Road and Briarwood Drive.

The pedestrian, a 57-year-old male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with serious injuries. 

The driver and suspect vehicle were located by officers.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Cambridge female was arrested and charged with:

  • Dangerous operation
  • Failure to stop after an accident

The intersection remained closed for the investigation and has since been reopened.
