WRPS Arrest Male after an Incident at a Waterloo Business

Ongoing robbery investigation.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On September 6, 2022, at approximately 3:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a robbery at a business in the area of King Street South and Willis Way.

A male suspect entered a business and attempted to steal merchandise while brandishing a knife. The suspect fled the store and was later located by officers.

There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Robbery with a weapon
  • Breach of probation
  • Possession of a stolen credit card

The male was held for a bail hearing.
