
Waterloo Region, Ontario – WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit is investigating a pedestrian collision in North Dumfries.
On February 22, 2024, at approximately 9:35 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on Branchton Road near Morrisson Road.
The pedestrian, an 80-year-old North Dumfries male was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening physical injuries.
The driver, a 31-year-old Brant County male reported no physical injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested and charged with:
- Refusal to comply with approved screening device (ASD) demand- bodily harm
The roadway was closed for several hours for the police investigation and have since been reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
