WRPS Charge Driver after Single Motor Vehicle Collision in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On August 12, 2022, at approximately 12:25 p.m., emergency services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Erinbrook Drive and The Country Way in Kitchener.

Through the initial investigation, police determined that the driver of the vehicle was travelling south on Erinbrook Drive at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control and left the roadway, striking an unoccupied parked vehicle and then a residence.

The collision caused significant damage to the residence.

The driver and a pedestrian walking in the area at the time of the collision, were both assessed at the scene by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services.

As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 19-year-old Kitchener male, has been charged with dangerous operation.
