WRPS Continue to Investigate Collision Involving Two Tow Trucks in Kitchener

Collision investigation.

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Officers from WRPS' Neighbourhood Policing Central Division have laid charges in connection to a road rage incident in Kitchener.

On October 20, 2022, at  approximately 10:20 p.m., police responded to a road rage incident involving three tow truck drivers in the area of Sportsworld Drive and Heldmann Road.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police have charged the three drivers with Dangerous Operation. The charged parties were released with  court dates in December 2022 and January 2023.

PREVIOUS MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On October 20, 2022, at approximately 10:20 p.m., police responded to a disturbance in the area of Sportsworld Drive and Heldmann Road in Kitchener.

Through the initial investigation, it was determined that three tow truck drivers were involved in a road rage incident that began in the area of Highway 401 and Hespeler Road in Cambridge.

The tow trucks drivers then travelled to Sportsworld Drive when two of the drivers collided with one another.

There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
