WRPS Continue to Investigate a Collision Involving a Cyclist

WRPS Collision Investigation

Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Unit is investigating a collision involving a cyclist that occurred in Kitchener.

On September 19, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist in the area of Lorne Avenue and Gottscheer Court.

A child was biking in the area when they were struck by a vehicle.

As a result of the collision, the child was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash-camera footage is asked to contact the Traffic Services Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
