Waterloo Regional Police Complete Search Warrant in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On January 6, 2022, Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Direct Action Response Team (DART), Emergency Response Team, and the joint Waterloo-Guelph Human Trafficking Team completed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant in the area of Walter Street and Mortimer Drive in Cambridge.

Investigators seized suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and hydromorphone.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male, a 42-year-old male, both from Cambridge, and a 30-year-old Kitchener female were arrested and charged with numerous drug and weapons-related offences.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Direct Action Response Team is committed to the safety of all citizens through proactive initiatives.

The Joint Waterloo-Guelph Human Trafficking team has been made possible by a grant from the Proceeds of Crime Front-Line Policing Grant through the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
