Waterloo Regional Police Investigate an Assault in Kitchener

UPDATED RELEASE

Waterloo Region, Ontario- On November 21, 2021, Waterloo Regional Police were notified of a second victim involved in this incident.

The victim had attended a local hospital with a stab wound. The injuries are believed to be serious but non-life threatening.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators are trying to determine if both incidents are connected.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information in connection to the incident, is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

PREVIOUS RELEASE

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate an assault that took place in Kitchener.

On November 20, 2021, at approximately 9 p.m., police responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of Queens Boulevard and Elm Ridge Drive.

Officers attended the area but were unable to locate the individuals.

Several minutes later, a victim had arrived at a local hospital with a stab wound in connection to the disturbance. The injuries are believed to be serious but non-life threatening.

Investigators believe this to be a targeted incident and the investigation is ongoing.
