Waterloo Region, Ontario - On April 21, 2021, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 31-year-old Kitchener male in relation to this incident.
The male was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Breach Probation. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.

On April 20, 2021, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a motel in the area of Victoria Street North and Forfar Avenue in Kitchener.
Upon arrival, police located a 31-year-old Guelph male who suffered from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services and has since been treated and released.
Through the initial investigation, police determined that an altercation occurred between three males, which escalated when the victim was stabbed.
The incident is believed to be targeted, and there are no concerns for public safety.
