Central Division Officers Locate Stolen Vehicle and Seize Drugs and Weapons in Kitchener

Waterloo Region  Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing – Central Division seized drugs and weapons after locating a reported stolen vehicle in Kitchener.

On January 30, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers located a stolen Chevrolet Camaro turning into a parking lot in the area of Holborn Drive and Old Chicopee Drive.

The officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle, which accelerated, struck a police cruiser, and attempted to flee the lot. Other responding officers were able to prevent the Chevrolet from escaping.

Officers then placed the three occupants of the vehicle under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and crack cocaine. A conducted energy weapon (CEW), a crowbar, and a knife were also seized.

The driver of the Chevrolet Camaro, a 33-year-old Kitchener male, was charged with multiple criminal offences, including:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon (two counts)
  • Dangerous operation
  • Failure to comply with a release order
  • Failure to comply with probation

A 27-year-old Kitchener female and a 34-year-old Waterloo female were jointly charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused parties were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
