The Waterloo Regional Police Service is excited to announce the launch of two electric vehicle charging stations.
These charging stations are located in the front parking lot of Headquarters, located at 200 Maple Grove Road in Cambridge.
“The installation of these charging stations, along with the launch of the Hybrid Cruisers and idling policy, are some of the innovative technologies and sustainable developments that the Waterloo Regional Police Service is committed to,” said Bryan Larkin, Chief of Police. “These level 2 charging stations will help support the charging network in our region and provide the infrastructure required for our employees and community to charge their vehicles.”
The stations are compatible with both electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and have a universal J1772 connector. They are pay-per-use and much like other EV charging networks. Charging fees are $1.50 per hour, which is billed through the FLO app or account. Drivers can sign up for access by registering through FLO’s website: Sign up with FLO.
Once your charge is complete, users are asked to relocate their vehicles and ensure cables are returned to their designated spot to ensure the space is available for other users.
FLO offers 24/7 toll-free support if needed when using the stations. They can be contacted at 1-888-356-8911.
