Emergency Services Respond to Fire on Brybeck Crescent in Kitchener

Media Release

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Emergency Services responded to a report of a fire at a Kitchener apartment building. 

On July 11, 2021, at approximately 5:45 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police, Kitchener Fire Department and Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services responded to a report of a fire in the area of Brybeck Crescent and Karn Street.

Upon arrival, smoke was seen billowing from the building. The building was evacuated while Kitchener Fire Department extinguished the fire. 

Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services treated several individuals on scene, including two officers who suffered smoke inhalation. 

The fire is not believed to be suspicious. 

There is no damage estimate at this time.
