Five Residences Searched During Joint Investigation into Drug Trafficking

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On March 21, 2019, the Waterloo Regional Police Service assisted the Stratford Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police in executing several search warrants in Kitchener as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

Warrants were issued at five residences in Kitchener, which resulted in a total of five individuals being arrested.

One individual was arrested at approximately 1:30 p.m. in the area of Westmount Road and Ottawa Street. During this arrest, officers used distraction devices, which caused significant noise in the area.

There is no concern for public safety as the investigation continues into the evening. More information will be released when available.
